Poor little monkey

I took the above two pictures while on the way to meet a friend. It was on a busy road at peak hour of 6.30 in the evening whereby people rushing to go back home after work. I apologize for the poor image, but that's the best zoomed in I could get : (

When I passed by the street, I saw a monkey lying motionless in the middle of the road with wound on his head. Then there was this poor monkey - I supposed is the partner of the one being hit, guarding by the side of that motionless monkey. Coincidently I had to wait at the traffic light junction for my turn, thus I turned my head back and observed that little creature. Whenever there were motorcycles passed by, he would tried to attack the motorcyclists until they go far. Then he would again walked back to his partner side and pulled its tail as if want to wake him/her up. He keeps repeating between wanted to attack motorcyclists and walking back and pull his dead partner's tail the whole time for about 5 minutes while I was observing. He must be hated us human to the utmost for killing his partner and ruined their future!

Since I'm familiar with this place, I turned my head up and look around the bushes if there are other monkeys nearby, it didn't disappoint me, there their friends being gathered together as if waiting anxiously want to know what had happened to their friend. I tell myself that I would use this same road to go back home and also to check back on these monkeys. On my returning way, this dead monkey is being pulled nearer to the edge of the road, nearer to the bushes where they live...

I can tell you that it is a heart broken scene to see lives being separated apart from death even though it happened on this poor animal. His living partner is sooo reluctant to let go his dead partner. I'd almost wanted to pull over to tell this living monkey that "It's dangerous to be on the road, get away from this busy road and keep yourself safe in the trees!" I know that they would understand what I say if I did that...

Thought for thinking

Back from teaching conference. One of the lesson learned is that classroom desk may be an obstacle to learning, do you agree on this? *pause for thought..... keep the thought for yourselves...

TNG case for teacher

This year, these are for teachers of my children.
It's a Touch 'N Go (TNG) gadget case that I made. Hubby is using one for years and find it still very practical, useful and no other thing could replace it. He loves it. I love it.
In the last minute decision of two hours before 16May, I got busy with kids in choosing of fabrics, measuring, cutting, sewing and managed to get a few done to be given away on-time. phew...Now hoping that teachers would love it too ; ))

I made some extras of TNG case for my teachers that I would meet tomorrow.

Happy Teacher's Day.

Pants for Russ

Mid-term school exam was over, I took some break from the stressful busy schedule of revising my children's school syllabus. It was really stressful man when comparing each subject with every marks. Poor school going kids...and poor mothers that teach. Hence, I do not wish to say further on exam and school, let's talk about this little hobby of mine - to sew... yay...

It's very exciting when you've accomplished something that you'd made, and turn out to be rewarding too. From picking your fabric choice, pattern and the dedication we're putting in making that piece of art, to make for our love ones, every details pays off. I managed to make a soothe pants for Russ. Upon seeing the finished result, big R also requested one himself. I think I'll obliged to this little request by sweet baby.

Last weekend, my father brought all of his children (five of us and with family) for buffet at E & O Hotel. I found a fun way of consuming this salted-biscuits - simply with some blue cheese (my favourite)! It's a great desserts towards the end of a meal. I think I've eaten ten if not more, and finished the whole disk of blue cheese ... : P That's a record breaking number as though there aren't salted biscuits outside a hotel... LOL...once in a blue mood take my recommendation and try this at home, it's rewarding. surely ^_^

Lacey Modern Kebaya in the making

I have a few projects in-the-making; one is Russ's Japanese Soothe Pants (the above pic.), the other will be my modern pair of vintage Kebaya Dress... yes, it will be a lacy one ; ) Oh, speaking of Kebaya, I inherited a Kebaya dress from my granny, ever since then I started to admire the craft of handmade from those dressmaker of thirty to forty years ago. It's a kinda amazing piece of past-down-to fashion for now and future generation to refer to.

If you have your pair of Kebaya dress, why not share it here? I would love to see you in them...
